A weekend with the ladies

I just got back this weekend from Lake Connor, Womens Retreat Martha Lake. I am so lucky to have so many women friends that are my sisters in Christ. I truly look to these ladies for support, encouragement, prayers and friendship. They are my family. We had such a great time. We sat around the campfire, sang songs, played games, told jokes, shared testimonies. I don't know what I would do without my gal pals. There is so much transparancy in this group, and so much love.

It was beautiful up at Lake Connor. Surrounded by trees, and trails, a lake. The weather was perfect. I hear so many times, that people think that to be a Christian is boring, and we don't know how to have fun. Well, I have more friends with my Christian friends than anyone else. If those people could be a fly on the wall, during some of our fun times, they would think different. I laughed so hard this weekend that my guts hurt. We all need friendship, and fellowship, a place that we can let down our walls and just be real with one another. To be able to share, laugh, cry, and no that we are loved and supported, and I truly feel that way with my gal pals. You are my sisters, my friends, my surrogate mom, and just my pal. I love you all! I feel so blessed with the friendships that God has given me, and so loved. I hope and pray that everyone can find someone, or a group...where you feel supported, and where you can just be yourselves.

We pray for one another, we laugh, we sing..and at times cry as we share our hurts. So, I just wanted to take the time and say thanks to all my gal pals out there, and thanks for the awesome weekend!
